Does a person on Medicaid need to continue with a secondary health insurance like Blue Cross?
Norma asked:
I can't get a straight answer from either agency. Naturally Blue Cross wants their monthly payments to continue — as Medicaid wants their percentage of health costs to be at a minimum. Can someone out there give me a definative answer?
I can't get a straight answer from either agency–Blue Cross naturally wants the payments, Medicaid wants to pay less so they are telling me Blue Cross will Still be needed. I've applied for Medicaid for my mother (in a nursing home in Florida). At this point, she is on Medicare and has Blue Cross & Blue Shield. I would think that once, she is accepted by Medicaid, we wouldn't need to keep paying Blue Cross. I received 4 answers from Yahoo answers, but was only able to access 2 complete answers. The remaining 2 showed only a partial sentence. If you answered this before, please try again. Thanks for your help.
